Plot Synopsis

After shaking of the uneasy feeling Ujyaku casts Chaos into the pit and as a result became temporarily addicted to chaos bursts and after a few chaoses, including Cyrus’ hand temporarily turning to glass, Rik no long believing in magic, 7 feet of snow, the party restrained her until it was off. After all of this the party, Rosy and Paula go below deck to have a meeting. Party is going to help Rosy deal with Sunny but she doesn’t expect them to work for free. She’s caching in a favor from Rik, and after some discussion she’s helping Fianon by getting him in touch with 2 other members of the Vesatki to find a potential cure for his father’s ailment. She’s getting Ujyaku in touch with the ability to get a psionic resistance. Cyrus’ conversation happened behind closed doors and though Ujyaku tried to sneak in she was caught and thrown out (and proceeded to get drunk). For the purposes of these records the details will remain hidden. Finally, Suiken is using his favor to have Rosy help them get back to the island using her navigation technology, but to do this she needs something to use as a signature. Rik realized the ichor from the sand gave off the same vibe as the island and the party went down to collect some.

The first two to go in are Rik and Suiken holding hands. As they descend into the crater and approach the ichor they find themselves sinking into the sand and by the time they reach it they are completely submerged. Suiken attempts to collect some ichor in the dark. In the sand, despite Suiken’s eyes being closed, they see the ridge of many many spines and spikes traveling infinitely across their view as if it was the horizon. They no longer feel each other but still are holding hands despite this. They speak and a voice responds, but when Suiken asks a question Rik gets a response and vice versa. Rik pushes deeper and drags Suiken along with him, and they feel angles, not necessarily sharp, align their skin, and after a second they find their in a place with landscapes superimposed on each other, a forest, a cave, a red forest cave, a field. They also see something massive but they can’t make heads or tails of it, they feel burning hot and yet freezing cold, and spikes and softness. About 10 minutes has passed and Cyrus rides on Fianon as they glide into the sand (with a rope attached to Cyrus with some help of a member of Rosy’s crew,) also becoming submerged. A similar situation but Fianon manages to resist the effects somewhat and manifests a Cyrus, though he didn’t know it wasn’t the real Cyrus, but it acts exactly how he’d expect Cyrus to react. Finally Ujyaku goes up to her chest and throws her sponge spherical cow in to soak in the ichor. As she reels it in it’s filled but looking at it gives her a headache and she passes out. In her sleep she ends up directly in the superimposed land though the red forest cave is most prominent, she can also see everyone else. At this point a hole bores into this reality and looking into it all they feel is fear.

Some hijinks ensure between the fake versions of Rik and Cyrus, Rik short porting into the hole and Cyrus being accidentally thrown into the hole. In the hole Cyrus and Rik feel pure fear, all the way into their bones. Cyrus starts to pull himself out via the rope he had tied around himself. Meanwhile, Fianon struggles with the real and fake as he seems to have an easier time manipulating this place so he’s never sure if he thought of the real one or a fake one. Eventually he shoots fake Rik, instantly killing him, and aims at Cyrus, unsure if he sees the real or fake one (they are in the same position) he stops and runs deeper into the land. Then his hand glows on its own and guides him back. As he’s being guided out Cyrus in his insanity manages to see everyone, moves his rope around them and gets out and pulls everyone else out. Everyone is shaken and mentally scarred but they have the ichor.

Rosy flies them to the island and as they breach the waters, Paula proceeds to throw up over the edge of the deck as she seems to fade in and out of reality. Party is shaken by the pitch black waters flowing around the island but before they can recover two other party’s teleport onto the ship, and that’s where the session ends.
