TSB;EoA: Katabasis Game 7 (Mirkwood Forest, Kurago)
Plot Synopsis
A significant portion of this game was spent joined with the Amid This Somber Sleep party. More specifically, this group showed up to assist in the mess the previous group had gotten themselves into. Eventually, the Katabasis crew got the group out of dodge and were able to continue on their journey.
Both before and after this, the party gathered together, meeting the old ancient witch from nomadic fairy tales who served as a sort of knowledgeable guide. She in her talks revealed two major open paths for the current party. One pointed back towards Afuera, to deliver Mictlan’s orb back to him, as he may or may not have an illegal way to enter into the void, though this will certainly cause problems for Wyren due to Wyren stealing the orb in the first place. The second major option is to visit the city of Duat in the Desert of Set. The area is a dangerous place that will take many days to travel normally, though the witch has an alternative method that is faster, but slightly more dangerous.
The party ended by briefly talking philosophy with the witch about the natures of fate and death before heading to bed and getting a very fulfilling rest. It seems there are numerous paths forward, with a darkness looming on the horizon.
