TSB;EoA: Katabasis Game 1 (Afuera City, The Great Delve Expanse, Kurago)
Plot Synopsis
The party woke up and gathered together, with Wyren immediately casting Know Plane to know where they were. Nakai led the lost party for a bit until they bumped into a Gate Guardian. This guardian got Nyals’ name and gave off a trickster-y persona before letting the party into the Kurago proper. Before leaving, he gave the party his name, that being Ekstere. While Nakai could confirm Ekstere was a nomad spirit, Wyren could also tell they were in some way fae related.
Ekstere dropped the party off near a place known as Afuera city. The city itself seemed to be tied to a small village in Itlan-Youali’s memories, with most of the city currently at rest. Some strange dark images appeared above the city, which was likely to be Itlan-Youali itself, as the barrier between itself and the Kurago are abysmally thin. Many of the signs were written in multiple different languages. The party found an inn where they stayed for the night. Wyren gave Nyals a strange crystal that turned blue in the morning.
After searching a very messy library for information, they were unable to find much on the strange holes of nothingness cropping up all over the Kurago. They were able to learn bits and pieces about IY. They also spoke briefly with a local alchemist who promised them a special potion capable of staving off the effects of the Delves so long as the party collected the ingredients themselves. The plant needed was called onionweed. They would need this to help them cross the Great Delve Expanse that surrounds most of Afuera City. Wyren summoned a vehicle to take them to a nearby forest where these plants grew. Nyals drove for a bit due to a combination of sheer will, and luck from Bobbie.
The party very quickly grabbed whatever onionweed they could and ran back towards the car whilst being chased by carnivorous plants. These were quickly disposed of, with Feare even getting a good stab directly in one’s brain. The party escaped after an easy fight and just barely dodged a mysterious apparition of Cyrus von Hans whilst driving back to Afuera City.
