Hook

People are disappearing in mysterious ways. We suspect something is wrong.

Plot Synopsis

We began at a simple tavern, where a man from a distant world met our adventurers to explain his problem.
People have been disappearing, always in private, unwatched areas. No trace of why can be explained, leaving them to call in adventurers.

So they went to his plane via plot button, where they began to explore the city and individual disappearance sites.
They discover stuff through spells such as Reveal the Past and Sensitivity to Psychic Impressions, eventually leading them to a shady rundown location in the dark parts of town, where they find a number of cultists hiding out. They attempt to engage, but their enemies bafflingly flee via teleportation. Who would have thought that npcs cared for their own lives?

Through a bit of investigation and checking, they eventually return to the scene at night, where they find a lone woman quietly engaging in suspicious activities. So they disappear her, questioning her and gaining answers, leading to the discovery of a demonic cult thats been nomming people.

Being the kind of people most of them were, they instead decide to side with the demon, helping free him at the plot-appointed time.
