Plot Synopsis
Rawal has seen the benefits of hiring adventurers to do things, and so has decided to (secretly) attempt to find some to work for him.
Of course, adventurers being how they are, several loyal to Astoria noticed the hire posting and informed her of it.
Indeed, one who came to his call was well known to have worked for Astoria, and so they were sent south to investigate the remains of the Dera Reaches crystal mines.
Along the way they stopped by Perikalia, where Lili saw Tysinar the aerodrako, one of Ctherethei's, and petitioned for their aid in travel. Being beneficial to investigate the odd heavy magic resonating through the desert, the aerodrako came with them, with magically aided flight given to the adventurers.
They crossed the desert with little incident, arriving in front of the caved in mines; rocks were liquified, exploration ensued.
They noted the cavern shades and crystal spires, as well as the fact that things living within the mines tended to be highly protective of the crystals. Eventually they hit the warding line into the deeper magic mines, where they discovered the area was teleport locked. They crossed the line, and were allowed to pass.. until they started screwing around with magic and the crystals, at which point they were attacked, and made a quick retreat.
Lili teleported the group of adventurers back to Rawal, who paid them for their information, then left the party to report to Astoria as well.
